It is looking like the battle over RTW in Indiana could be ending next week. Monday Jan 30 the Indiana Senate is scheduled to take up debate on the House RTW bill, have a 2nd reading on Tuesday, and a final vote on Wednesday Feb 1st. The Governor could sign the bill, which has been fast tracked since day 1 as soon as Wednesday.
The Local will be going down to the Statehouse each of these last few days to lobby the Senate. We need support from members. There will not be busses but we are organizing car pools and will assist with fuel and meals.
We will meet at the Operating Engineers Hall in Lakeville at 7am on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
For more information please call the Hall or call Troy 574-532-1011.
We also need to people to call and email our Senators:
